1. Basics & Overview

Mystic Gens is a gens server combined with skyblock with a mystical theme. You build up your own floating island, place and upgrade generators, grind in farms and private mines, and work your way towards higher levels, better tools and more valuable blocks.

Connect with other players, make your island look beautiful, and collect mystical items, pets and other rare rewards. Progression comes from playing actively in /farm and your private mine, while your generators handle a lot of the money and XP in the background.

Focus: Active grinding in farms/mines combined with powerful AFK generators.
Style: Casual-friendly, but with competitive leaderboards and late-game items.
Goal: Prestige, reach the top of the leaderboards and build the strongest island.
Version: Java Edition, Minecraft 1.8 to latest.

Seasonal resets

Mystic Gens runs on a roughly 90-day season. At the end of a season your island, balance, generators, tokens, pets and other in-game progression will reset.

Global ranks from the store do not reset between seasons and carry over into the next season. This keeps the competition fresh, while your long-term rank progression is preserved.

2. Getting Started

Join the server
Open Minecraft Java Edition (versions 1.8–latest supported) and connect to play.mysticgens.com. You will spawn at /spawn.
Open your island panel
Use /is or /island to open the island panel. From here you can create your island, manage members, upgrades and more. There is one mystical default island type, so you don’t need to choose a template.
Place your first generator
New players start with one Hay Bale Generator and 9 generator slots. Place your gen on your island and let it generate wheat for you over time. You can always add more gens later as you unlock and purchase them.
Start farming & mining
To level up quickly at the start of the season, go to /farm and get to at least level 10. Once you’re comfortable, move to your private mine with /mymine or /privatemine and start upgrading your tools with /upgrade.
Sell your loot
You can sell items in several ways:
- /sell – sell items in your hand or inventory.
- /sellall – quickly sell all sellable items you carry.
- /sellgui – open the Sell GUI to manage what you sell.

Beginner tips

Start at /farm to reach level 10 as fast as possible.
Then move to your private mine to upgrade tools using /upgrade.
Don’t rush buying too many gens at once – upgrade your best ones first.
Use /tool to see which special tools you can use for different farms.

Recommended first goals

Reach player level 10 by grinding at /farm.
Unlock and use your private mine to power up your tools.
Upgrade your Hay Bale Generator and buy your first few higher tier generators.
Join the Discord and use /vote for extra kits and rewards.

3. Generators

Generators (Gens) are the heart of Mystic Gens. Once placed on your island they will produce blocks or items automatically over time, which you can then sell for money or use for crafting and progression.

You start with a Hay Bale Generator that produces wheat, and can gradually unlock more powerful generators such as Wood, Stone, Coal, Iron, Gold, Redstone, Lapis, Diamond, Emerald, Nether, End and late-game mystical blocks like Amethyst, Honeycomb, Obsidian, Froglight and more.

Generator slots & limits

New players start with 9 generator slots on their island.
You can increase your max gen slots through in-game island upgrades (via /is).
Additional slots can also be unlocked through ranks (see the Ranks page).
Plan your layout so your best generators always occupy your available slots.

Upgrading generators

Right-click a generator to open its upgrade menu.
Use Shift + Right-click on a gen to upgrade it instantly (if you can afford it).
Each level increases the value of the items the generator drops over time.
Higher-tier generators are more expensive but can carry your late-game economy.

Buying new generators

New generators can be bought through the gens-related commands such as /gen, /generator, /generators, /buygen or /buygenerator (check which one is active in-game via /help). As you progress through farms, mines and your island level, more generator types will become available.

All generators can be safely broken and moved on your island, so don’t worry about placing them “wrong” – you can always redesign your setup later.

4. Currencies & Economy

Mystic Gens keeps the economy simple but rewarding, with two main currencies that you will see everywhere:

Money ($)

The main balance shown as $. Used for almost everything: upgrading generators, buying items and blocks, upgrading tools, island upgrades and more. Earned mainly by selling items from your gens, farms and mines using /sell, /sellall or /sellgui.

Tokens 💎

Tokens (often shown with the 💎 icon) are a more special currency. You use them to purchase cosmetics, pets and special perks that make your island and character stand out. Tokens can be obtained from various gameplay systems such as crates, dungeons, events and other activities.

Keys & crates

While not a currency in your balance, crate keys are an important part of the economy. You can obtain them from events, dungeons, voting and other features, then use them at spawn to open crates and lootboxes for powerful rewards, tokens and rare items.

The economy is fast-paced: there are regular events like double XP, chat games and other server-wide bonuses that speed up your progression. Keep an eye on announcements and the in-game chat so you don’t miss them.

5. Ranks & Progression

Mystic Gens has multiple ranks that provide extra perks, commands and bonuses. Ranks mainly affect things like generator slots, multipliers, island utility and quality-of-life commands.

Ranks are global and do not reset when a new season starts.
Higher ranks typically unlock more generator slots and better island upgrades.
Some commands (such as certain convenience or cosmetic commands) are rank-locked.

6. Islands & Teams

Islands are your main base of operations. Everything you build, place or automate is tied to your island’s upgrades and members. You can play solo or build a small team and progress together.

Island basics

Open the island GUI: /is or /island
Create your island and teleport home from the island panel.
Manage all island features (members, upgrades, warps, settings) inside the UI.
Place your generators, farms and decorations anywhere on your island.

Teams & upgrades

Islands start small and can be upgraded to increase their size and power.
Team size starts at 1 member and can be upgraded up to 4 members.
Use the island upgrades section in /is to improve island size, team slots and other bonuses.
Work together to focus on different roles: gens placement, farming, mining and dungeons.

Mystic Gens also features leaderboards (such as /top, /leaderboard, /top10 and /top3) so you can track how your island and personal stats compare to other players.

7. Useful Commands

Below is a non-exhaustive list of important commands for new players. Typing /help in-game opens a GUI with all commands and extra information like how to earn money, reach your island, and more.

8. Frequently Asked Questions

Does everything reset each season?

No. At the end of a season your island, balance, generators, tokens, pets and most in-game progress will reset so that everyone can start fresh. Store-bought ranks stay permanently and carry over to future seasons.

Do store-bought ranks ever reset?

Store ranks on Mystic Gens are intended to be permanent. They are not wiped when a new season begins. However, any perks linked to in-game progression (like gen slots or island levels) may still require you to grind again each season.

Can I move my generators after placing them?

Yes. You can break and move generators on your island whenever you like. This lets you redesign your island layout or upgrade your generator setup without losing anything.

Are alts and AFK allowed?

Alts and AFK are allowed on Mystic Gens. Always make sure to follow any additional rules posted in the Discord or at spawn if specific limits or changes are announced for a season.

How do I get free kits, keys and other rewards?

Use /vote in-game to see the voting links. Voting for the server rewards you with kits, crate keys and various drops that help you progress faster, especially at the start of a season.

Where can I report bugs or suggest new features?

Join the official Mystic Gens Discord and use the #bug-reports and #suggestions channels to share your findings and ideas. Serious exploits should be reported privately to staff members as soon as possible.

How can I see all commands and basic info in-game?

Type /help in-game to open a GUI that shows all available commands, plus useful information such as how to earn money, how to get to your island, and where to find main features like farms, mines and dungeons.
